Sally Blumenfeld
Sally is one of the founding women of the Bead Ladies group that has been meeting for 10+ years. Sally is an accomplished beader, astrologer, and drummer. You can find more about her at her website, the Drumming Astrologer. She makes and sells Astro Jewelry which blend her astrology and beadwork passions. Below are pictures of my Bead Goddess. She is Venus, the Goddess of Love and Creativity.
Her bell is Rhodonite, the Love stone. In The Book of Stones, Rhodonite is described as being helpful in "discovering and developing hidden talents, compassion, love, generosity, and altruism."
Her tiara has seven points. Seven is a spiritual number. It is the number for faith and trust. It is also the number for the crown chakra. On her back is the symbol for eternity.
I started this project in February of 2002. I'm not really sure when I finished it. However, I did enter my Bead Goddess in Beadwork IV: The Beaded Figure. You can see her on the Beadwork website. However, the pictures my husband took, as you can see, are much better.
